We continued to work on the sketches and I got to the playground and classroom settings. These settings contain the most detail because they involve more interactions with people. The playground is set outside with vague trees and other greenery in the background. A bench is placed in front of the jungle gym, which is the highlight of the scene and a great place to display interactions among young kids. There is also a lot of room to use different colors and I’m personally excited about this part because it seems fun to color in. Many objects are inside the classroom like desks, chairs, bulletin board, posters, assignments, books, shelves, decorations, and supplies. They also allow for a lot of room to color in and the interior of the room with closets, windows, lights and the door really fill up the white space. We were concerned that not shading or coloring the images as we are making a coloring book would make it difficult to fill up the pages but it’s not a problem at all.

Although the drawings are currently in similar perspectives that reveal the entire setting, there will be close ups as well on the character(s) communicating within the scenes once Amelia and I combine our drawings.
